The Limoges CSP has officially parted ways with its former coach Dario Gjergja. The Croatian technician, who arrived last summer, had been extended until 2028 in mid-November.
What happened?
The club, in a results crisis and thirteenth in Betclic Élite, finally had to activate this lever to create a shock within its team. The Limoges CSP commented on its social networks: « The club thanks him for the work done and wishes him the best in his pursuit of a career in international basketball ».
Why is this important for Limoges CSP?
Since Gjergja's dismissal, the club has stopped its negative streak and won two games against Gravelines-Dunkerque (93-64) and Nanterre (97-79). An important match awaits them against Portel on May 2nd.
What comes next?
The club has also announced the appointment of Maxence Broyer as assistant coach alongside Arnaud Tessier. Broyer has been an assistant coach at Denain-Voltaire and then head coach of Rueil-Malmaison (NM1) and Lyon SO (NM1).
| Coach | Team | Season |
|---|---|---|

Broyer commented: « I would like to thank the president and the coach for the trust they have placed in me for the end of the season. Limoges is a mythical club in French basketball, joining it is a great pride. I will put all my energy into helping the club finish the season on a positive note ».
